I'm feeling positive about going neutral. This Rosebud has always been a bit GREEN about the edges, so I was happy to see the latest posting about going carbon neutral over at My Floor Is Red. For all you bloggers out there, just having a a blog (that people visit) has a carbon footprint. The industrious folks over at Kaufda.de, has a plan to help bloggers neutralize their carbon emissions. FOR FREE! Check out the details over at their website.
Make it Green! Make your blog carbon neutral For Free. "My blog is carbon neutral" is an initiative, originally started in Germany by the "Make it Green" program (Mach Grun!) and it has the goal to reduce carbon emissions. They will plant a tree for every blog participating, and neutralize your blog's carbon footprint for the next 50 years. Every tree counts, and so can you.
Just write a short blog post about the campaign, "My blog is CO2-neutral" and add a button (best on your sidebar). Send them the link to your blog CO2-neutral@kaufda.de and they will plant tree for you, which neutralizes the CO2 emissions of your blog. This offer is good towards the first 750 particiapants, so get going, and go GREEN.
So, in a nutshell:
- Report on on the Make it Green program, and add button to your blog.
- E-mail to CO2-neutral@kaufda.de
- They plant a tree for your blog!
I'm so happy to see that even other bloggers have shared this project, really made me happy!!!! Well done ;-)
