Last Saturday, I made my first visit to the Midtown Bazaar. Think of it as your friendly neighborhood food stand/flea market, sans fleas. Every Saturday since last June, the parking lot on the corner of J and 16th turns into a wonderful local market, and the tables are loaded with fabulous finds, from vintage clothing, collectibles to a plethora of hand-made goods and and food, all local, fresh & affordable. I had such a fine time!
I spent HOURS talking to the various vendors, and basically having a ball shopping. I tried to be strong and NOT buy anything, but after coveting a handful of jewelry from a slew of jewelry makers, I broke down, the minute the market closed and bought....a coat!
A gem of a find from Nora of Transient Treasures: a mod raincoat, lightweight and GINGHAM.This kind of coat is perfect for the mild winter season in Sacramento.
So now, I've got to save up because I left mounds of wonder things at the Midtown Bazaar. And there's so much I could tell you about the sweet folks I met, but I'm a bit tuckered, and promise: another time! For sure!
Meanwhile, get yourself down there if you can, AND tell 'em the Citizen Rosebud sent you!

That coat is worth eating 50 cent Cambell's chicken noodle canned soup for a week if needed!. It is really wonderful, and wonderful on you. Wear it constantly. There's a flea market near me every Sunday that I really want to check out.
