'Cuz this is how I feel. A urban girl in love with nature. Wearing my thrifted Ikat-printed cotton dress in the Fall, meant trying to layer it. I dosed it with contrasting prints and textures. Feeling uh, tribal, I threw on my animal print platforms, and tromped about the concrete jungle on foot, with a parasol for shade, and a song in my heart.
During my photo-shoot I found what looked to be a bird's nest. It was on the ground flattened, so I propped it back in the bushes and took some photos of it. And then, like a good little hunter-gatherer, carefully wrapped it up, and brought it home. It now houses my rock rose collection.
Now Wearing:
- Gifted, Paper Parasol with Art-Deco motif
- Thrifted, Eddie Bauer, ivory wool hooded sweater with toggles
- Altered & Thrifted, Ikat-print cotton knit dress
- Gifted, vintage houndstooth scarf as belt
- Gifted, Flaming Hag Folkwear leather ring with brass stud
- BUTT UGLY, Last Supper tapestry bag
- Target, striped capri leggings
- Thrifted, animal print platform shoes

Awesomeness !!!
The parasol is terrific :)
THAT BAG! How much!??! Methinks I'm in love! (I also adore the sweater!)
That bag is an old BUTT UGLY bag from about 12 years ago, maybe older. Kris made it from an old Last Supper tapestry. The strap had torn about 6 years ago, and she insisted that I bring it in for her to mend it. So it is still ticking. I couldn't sell it. Ever.
But the next BUTT UGLY sale, I'll let you know and you could shop her bags, if you'd like.
Love that dress with the stripes. You always keep me guessing!

Thank you Lee & V. <3
I really like the dress mixed with the sweater and the leggings. I like how all the colors go together without the outfit being "matchy matchy". Really nice.
Thank you, Heather. I'm trying to break out of the black/white rut. But it's very hard. Black and white go with so many things. Like nights. And days.
