outfit post: Short-n-Sweet

It's been an incredible, busy, sea-change sort of week. I am wiped-out, and wordless. Sacramento is serving up its signature summer heat, but I am unfazed- I just pared down my outfit to a whisper of a dress, which is actually a vintage navy swiss dot skirt, hiked up and worn muu-muu style.

Little navy blue with white trim shorts were worn for modesty sake. Keeping it simple, I wore my red knit hat to cover my now rather alarmingly unruly growing out hair, fave heart sunnies, white brogues and this vintage souvenir totes regaling old New Orleans.  Which is for sale by the way, $30 bucks including shipping, if in the United States.
Message me at shop@shopthecitizen.com if interested.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

  1. Thank you for just inspiring me to hike up a certain midi skirt that's been bothering me at it's intended length. As always, your heart-shaped sunnies are the bomb.

  12. Cute! There's no way that could ever qualify as a muumuu. I'm glad you wore shorts, though. Sometimes I do the same. It's a huge tease and so comforting knowing your flimsies won't be on display with the next gust of wind!

  34. Why is it I never think to wear a skirt as a dress? I do the opposite sometime and wear a dress as a skirt, but you have just inspired me to look at my closet in a new way!

This looks super cute on you. I don't get the muumuu vibe at all and the hat just brings it together perfectly.
