Bella feeling red hot and blue. |
Yesterday I found these pictures that I'd taken a week or so ago, when we were still in the cooler mode (hence the layers) of spring weather. We are now blazing into the famous Sac-town cooker. So instead of the layers I was wearing the same hat and dress, with the only addition being a pair of cherry-red Converse low tops, and that was all. Pretty much the same ensemble outfitted for a different forecast.
That is how I dress: variations of a theme. So I should warn you: my summer time is colored with hues of red, white, and blue, so you'll be seeing a lot of those colors here. In fact as I'm typing this I am wearing a blue/white outfit, and the day before the aforementioned red/blue outfit AND even the day before that there was MORE play on reds, blues and black-black-blacks. I'm like jazz on a hot summer day- playing the standards, but riffing on them bit by bit. I like to improvise. I'm a blogger. I do that.
BUT: a Blogger is more than just a blogger. She is also a reader. And then she becomes your friend. Here are a few reasons why I am proud to call myself a Blogger:

Jemina: one of the first to become part of my blogging community. I LOVE ya, Girl. |
This is just a sampling of some of the wonderful people I "meet" via blogging, and this is a slice of their world. They make me laugh, and make me think. They inspire with their chutzpah, their courage and their creativity. Most of all, I am connected to the bloggers who reach out & help me forge this community- by reading, by responding and by being relevant.
If you are one of these people, and I haven't had the chance to "meet" you, please leave a comment and introduce yourself. Don't forget to leave your blog's url. Here's a tip courtesy of Leia, of Leia's Delights put your url in this code, then copy and paste it in your comment. That way we can click on the link and be transported instantly to your world, via your blog's url.

Love the look. That dress is fab. Here in the Uk it is always cool. One minute warm the next chucking it down with rain! Not fun for wanting to put stunning outfits together I can tell you.
ReplyDeleteAs for blogging, it creates a fantastic set of new friends. Those with similar tastes and those with totally different but who's style you admire. I can't wait to meet up with some of my local bloggers.

When I started blogging I had no idea that I would meet friends and become so attached and emotional and inspired and so moved. Yep, we are so much more than our little blogs. Love this post Bella. I'll be sure to stop back to check the links I haven't read here. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour dress is so much fun! Your style is so non-coformist. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI'll be living in a denim skirt and a tank top for the next few months of LA cooker. I'm looking forward to sharing the summer with my fellow bloggers, seeing what your wearing, doing and thinking.
Love,
Heather
