The IFB Conference, Milk Studios

Independent Fashion Bloggers: Lee Oliveira, Anika (Anika By Anika) and Katy Rose of Modly Chic
Blogger Advice: Honest, insightful and sound advice was shared by the bloggers featured on each of the panels.
I am SOOOO glad I went. First off, the experience of mingling with hundreds of other bloggers from across the country and seeing such a large diverse collection of style expression was incredible. I came away from the conference as much inspired by the friendly faces and awesome fashions on the attendees as I was from the fantastic advice that was shared on the 3 blogger panels.

So now I must confess: I misplaced my notes and conference information and all the cards I collected that day from the bloggers I met. I know they will turn up, but to keep this post semi-timely, I'm just going to have to share with you my vague impressions of the event. Which is: IT ROCKED.

It was incredible to see such a variety of awesome style worn by the IFB attendees. It was well put-together event that was fun, filled with great swag, and educational as well. To listen to the advice the bloggers on the panels shared was such an opportunity to learn from those who have been successful and blogging. Each and every panelist offered up great information, and there were some whose honesty and forthrightness about the challenges of blogging were the panacea for taking a blog to the next level. And yes I am referring to Ari Goldberg of stylecaster.com who was smart, witty and spared no punches to the blogging crowd.
This stylish guy has a blog. I wish I could remember the name of it.

I came away from the conference with a lot to think about, and I feel so lucky to have attended it. I know it has helped give me better focus on what I want from my blog, and what I need to do for it. I know I've been a bit scattered, getting involved in all sorts of projects, and one realization I had at the conference was to focus more intently on the blog itself and work on making it clean, easy to navigate and more engaging for my readers. So I've got my work cut out ahead of me. Thank you all for being part of this experience!       -Bella Q

  7. Bella, thanks for posting this! It sounds like it was a great time but even MORE. I'm hoping to learn some of what you learned vicariously through you. I tend to scatter myself also, rather than POURING myself into one thing. Working now on giving my blog a set direction and staying focused. Big hugs to you and I love your big smile!!! ~Serene
