I'm a disgrace 'cos I've never heard of her. She looked to be an utterly fabulous woman with unique style and a killer attitude. May she rest in peace! x
She was freaking amazing!
Ah, she was formidable! There's a shift in the Force : <
She had guts, individuality and lived a full life submersing herself if the things she loved. I hope I'm an ounce of that as I get older. It's easy to take tiny steps toward giving up a little with each decade. Let's fight it!
I have never heard of her, but she certainly seems to be the epitome of bold, colorful and stylish.
RIP Anna, she was a true innovator and a fashion icon.
Oh dear, 81 already and gone, she seemed ageless!
How have I never heard of her?
She is a fierce fashionista, love her blue curl.
besos
Oh no! Oh that's so sad - she was such a wonderful flamboyant lady.
So so sad that she is gone. Our world is less colorful because she is not in it :(
oh, so sad, she was a real style icon, a so inspirating and colorful lady with great attitude.
besos & lagrimitas

An original. She will be missed on earth.
Thank you for bring the news of this unique woman to us.
It's a shame that she had to go. She stood out in the Fashion Week crowds.
I first saw Anna Piaggi years ago in Bill Cunningham's 'On The Street' in the Sunday NY Times. I have photos of her hanging in my studio for inspiration and was fascinated by her every hat and her love of color. I remember scanning the internet for her images. She left her incredible mark and will be missed.
I'll miss her so much, is there anyone else left that's so fabulous? Yes ... bloggers! But darling Anna, she paved the way for giving zero fucks. I loved her xoxoxo
I remember meeting her at the shows in Milan in the early 70s. She was a truly eccentric character. A colourful bird of paradise.
Oh I wish I'd paid more attention to her, she's pretty amazing. What an inspiriation, you can stay looking fantastic no matter what your age
RIP - what a rockstar. Sarah xxx
Sigh...the world just became a little more grey. RIP Anna!
A world without Isabella Blow and Anna Piaggi is a more boring world.
She will be remembered for her true originality and creative spirit! Thank you for giving her a fabulous send-off/tribute on your blog!

I was so sad to hear about her passing :( There will definitely be a void in the fashion industry without her. I hope she inspired many to dress to the beat of their own drum!
I've been so busy watching the Olympics that I didn't know of Anna Piaggi's passing. What a style inspiration, she will be missed!
As for you, my dear, are you coming to NYC for the IFB Con? I can't go this year, but would love to see you if you have time! XO, Jill
Super sad. She will be missed.

Tracy
She was such an amazing woman with a truly individual style. And she knew how to rock a hat. Sad sad news.

Thank you Bella, for taking the time to put this post together. You've found so many great links, with lots of lovely pictures, and I've enjoyed them all! She was an icon, a role model not only for 40+ women, but for women of all ages. A great loss!
