Jumping for Joy: Bella + Mary leap for joy while Boyfriend captures the moment on camera. |
Right now, Summer is in full bloom, gardens are just gearing up for a fruitful (and vegetal) harvest. Berries are at the peak of juicy ripeness, and the days are equal parts delicious land, sand and bluest blue of sky. Daylight lingers to almost 10 o'clock at night, and we humans are greedily using every hour. There is much to savor in this short sprint of a summer.
I'm in the middle of busy season for me- a mix of entertaining friends from out of town, celebrating weddings, hanging with the boyfriend and working as much as I can muster. And getting situated in a new place so there's a queue of "to do" and not really as much time as I would like to get stuff done. Thankful for the long days, and the energizing boost of sunshine.
Also thankful for the creative outlet of this blog, and you dear readers, for indulging me.
And now for a big thank-you and shout out to my sponsors, because, without their support, I wouldn't be able to spend as much time as I do on this blog labor of love.

What a lovely post. You capture some of the essential joys of Summer. Love your jumping pose and happy expression.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous post, Bella! I love the dress + sneakers, grasses gone golden, and discarded bright blooms. Beautiful writing as well.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I am THRILLED to be included on The 40+ Blogroll, which is one of the best things on the internet ever! Thank you!
You are a lovely friend, Ally. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Amber! I'm glad we've discovered eachother! xo. -Bella Q
ReplyDeleteI'm feelin' the Seattle's tail-end of summer too, but the nights are getting cooler for sure. One day we will have to meet and kick up some sand, or toss a few. ;)
ReplyDeleteTake Care!
Can't believe it's September! You are looking especially happy these days as you radiate in your black dress by the sea.
ReplyDeleteAck! It's September! Still blazing hot here, but Fall is coming nonetheless. You look wonderful at the beach, love the joy on your face.
ReplyDeleteIf I can't be at the beach, seeing pics of cool style bloggers there is the next best thing. I love the black frock on the sand. I haven't bought anything black in ages but today I thrifted a black skirt and shirt dress. Maybe it's time to admit it's still my favorite color :)
ReplyDeleteDon't be too quick to put away the Summer stuff - the Indian Summer is what we used to live for in Seattle. It can go until almost Halloween. You and your friend look pretty cute on the beach - Shilshole?
ReplyDeleteIt's getting dark by 8 pm here, so summer is on it's way out, even though it's still warm. I love the backless black sundress with the red converse (which go with everything, of course!)
ReplyDeleteHi Bella Q! So great to see you. I've missed your blog and unique attitude. That is a great shot of the flowers and the wood, so nice. Love your happiness. :-)
ReplyDeleteLate, long summer days at the beach = Heaven! Love the red kicks too...
ReplyDeleteYour happy poses make me want to find a halter dress in black. And that is hard to do. Me and halters don't mix. You are bridging gaps.
ReplyDeleteThe jumping photo is wondrous and that last one is a beaut. I'm a little envious of the weather you're having there...as it has rained here. But I don't grudge you the beautiful days at all.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying the rest of the summer. We have had great weather in Seattle so far.
ReplyDeleteLove this - and are feeling a bit of envy - its autumn here..
ReplyDeleteLovely pics, Bella. Nothing beats being with a good friend and having a laugh, especially by the sea on a beautiful day. xxx
ReplyDeleteI realized this morning how far Seattle is from where I live. I would have to crosse the ocean and then the whole of America, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So near, yet so far.

Sounds like you are having a great summery time ! Beautiful pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteYour weather looks absolutely beautiful! Now I'm hanging out for a bit of Summer sunshine myself. That dress is gorgeous too!
ReplyDeleteSigh - reading this post made me realise how much I DON'T want summer to end - weather looks great where you are.
ReplyDeleteYou look great hunnie!! I can't wait to pull out Fall clothes....its been soo hot here, I can hardly stand it! lol
ReplyDeleteHope you are well!
Wish I was there, too! Missing the West(the best) coast.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the summer weather is finally in full swing here in Los Angeles too. After a cool, foggy June and July it finally got hot in august. It doesn't look like it'll cool down anytime soon, but there I was yesterday, diligently moving my summer frocks and light colored clothing to the bins at the top of my closet and dragging out the dark colors of fall. All of this took place with th AC on. I felt silly.
ReplyDeleteGlad to be one of your sponsors again bella!
I am still definitely feeling summer, but am ready to let go and embrace the new season, only it'll still be hot here till October!
ReplyDeleteThat last pic summarizes how I was today! At the beach and enjoying time out for once!
