Bella and the Butterflies (Original Digital Collage by Bella Q)
 “April's air stirs in
Willow-leaves...a butterfly
Floats and balances”

Matsuo Bashō, Japanese Haiku

The Caterpillar was the first to speak.

"What size do you want to be?" it asked.

"Oh, I'm not particular as to size," Alice hastily replied; "only one doesn't like changing so often, you know."

"I don't know," said the Caterpillar.

“I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?”  -Chuang Tzu

  8. Lovely. Artistic and endearing. Like you.

Transformations in nature, like those of butterflies, resonate deeply with many of us who differ on the inside than how we're perceived on the outside. We dream, wildly, of becoming ourselves, emerging from a chrysalis and displaying beauty that previously had been unseen.
