Double the Trouble, Triple the Fun Doublemint
You've been hearing all about the color of the year being emerald green, haven't ya? And then, seeing it pop up everywhere on cue, like some pop culture fulfilling prophecy. I'll admit, I love the color emerald, but it never has felt like "me." Perhaps I'm too much of ruby girl. But Atonement, and the lovely Keira Knightly rocking the frock out of that emerald green gown, I've softened a bit towards this lush, precious hue. And, when I saw this green- as-spring vintage dress on the racks of Beats and Bohos, for the first time, the color emerald felt like me.
All of two of me, in fact.
Double the Trouble: Emerald Green, Front + Back |
I kept the dressing simple. To show off the stunning jewel-toned color, I paired it with that glorious beast-of-burden neutral, camel. These shoes, which you'll see in more detail in an upcoming outfit post, are gold glitter tipped and were on sale, a motherlode of a deal for under $25. Go team!
I'm doubling my pleasure in joining Jill and Adrienne for their monthly HOW I WEAR MY series, and this month is GREEN. Do pay them a visit and check out the other lovely green goddesses! And you'll want to double back and see the gals over at Not Dead Yet Style where I'll be joining Patti and pals for Visible Monday.

Yay, you're a Gemini too! (And I'm a twin on top of that). Your emerald green vintage frock is divine, absolutely stunning. I've really been into all shades of green lately - not sure if the whole colour of the year thing set it off (think it was the Mugler jacket), but who cares? It's fun to discover or rediscover a colour that you thought was lost to you. Funny how our ideas about certain colours change over time. Xoxo
ReplyDeleteAwesome color, awesome style--that dress is YOU!! And those shoes look cool!!!
ReplyDeletelove the dress, it's pretty much perfect - you should wear more emerald! x
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the drape and fit of a vintage dress. A++ as usual, Bella! As for green, it was one of those my Mama thought I ought to wear as a red head, so it's always been part of my wardrobe. Definitely a winner on you!
ReplyDeleteGotta tell ya, Bella ... twice is not enough for that AMAZING dress. ON YOU... you do understand that that it is a great dress, but brilliant on you, don't you? Only word for the shoes is bitchin! So happy you showed this to us.
ReplyDeleteJ
Green suits perfectly the two of you! Fun pics!!!
