Wicked

Come Closer My Pretties. Bella's feeling WICKED in her vintage USA made cobalt jacket.
I might have a little Oz on the brain; as a kid I was a big fan of Frank L. Baum's books (a BIG fan) so I'm really looking forward in seeing Sam Raimi's Oz the Great and Powerful soon. Maybe that's why a few of my artsy collages have been "Emerald City" themed, or it could a mere coincidence. I do think that this lead picture reminds me of the poster for Wicked- squint your eyes and tilt your head: maybe you see it too?

How wickedly delicious is this vintage wool cobalt jacket? It's a gem! Looks brand new, but it is true vintage- there is something a little 70's but mostly 80s about this- the shoulder pads are perfect and trust me my pretties, I don't say that often. It's lined, over sized for a voluptuous size 16, and has a Union label. Made in the ol' USA, something I now appreciate, more than ever!

I have a number of great jewel tone blazers that I'm listing- including this one. So if you're feeling wicked yourself, click HERE and shop around.

Feel wickedly bewitching in this vintage Union labeled wool jacket!

  11. Ooooooh!! totally gorgeous!! That color, that makeup!!!! I read every one of the Oz series books as a child, begging to be taken to the library to take out another one. The movie, shown on TV once a year, was a HUGE event. You are spectacular.

  23. You certainly do look like a wicked sweet minx! Here's a little "Oz" trivia for you: Frank L. Baum was sent by his father for a little "toughening up" to a military academy in Peekskill, NY. When he got off the train, he didn't know where to go, so he asked for directions and was told to "follow the yellow brick road" which led to the academy. The yellow brick road is still there, but not the academy. So the seeds were planted! XXX
