Style Mosaic: Putting it All Together for an Artful Ensemble |
"Life imitates art far more than art imitates life." -Oscar Wilde
Ah, the age old axiom: Life imitates art, imitating life. Today's outfit was inspired by a collage I recently made, which was inspired by my love of street art (I took a photo on my iphone of a beautiful mosaic on display at a local park,) and my favorite Karina Dress.

The Girl in the Mosaic: The Real Life Edition |
The dress was first worn a year ago, as seen HERE. The style is called Audrey, named after style icon, Audrey Hepburn, whose birthday falls on May 4th. So Happy Birthday dear Audrey, and thank you for being part of my style mosaic.
For those of you who love classic yet wearable style, you might want to add Karina Dresses to YOUR style mosaic. In fact for 2 months in a row, the Karina Dresses dress spotlight falls on the Audrey- it really is that kind of special yet versatile dress! Those of you that love exclusive access to special sales, be sure you've signed up for the Nation newsletter. I happen to be the newsletter editor, and am really proud of May's Mother's Day edition! You can sign up by clicking HERE.
Also adding a cut of edge to my style mosaic are my first pair of printed leggings from Romwe . They have just started an in-house line of leggings that are affordable + come in a wide range of fun graphics and prints. The prices range from $25-60 so they are definitely affordable. They seem to be working out some quality control issues (look for my upcoming product review,) but for the price, meh, it's all right.

ReplyDeleteAh, Bella, so many things I love about this post. One, I have been stalking the Audrey (ok, and the Lauren) Karina dress for a few days now - the way yours looks on you makes sure in my decision to buy one. Two, I love the way you've made the dress your own, with kick-butt accessories. Lastly, I woke up humming "Sadeness" by Enigma this very morning (flashback, 1990!) - we are def on the same aesthetic wavelength! Thanks for sharing. :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteHow do you expect the rest of us to hold a candle to that outfit? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the accessories as well. They are the dotted "i" and crossed "t" that make this yours.
I like to mix textures best. I'm experimenting with some pattern mixing as we speak, too.
