Share YOUR stellar summer kicks! I'm wearing a summer bright, white patent leather pair of Laura Ashley Mary Janes, similar to the flats I wore as a kid to Sabbath school. Turns out they are probably children's shoes, lol. My feet are pretty small. I loved wearing these to the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit at the Seattle Space Needle recently. I felt so fancy in these patent leather flats, and they were very comfortable for a day of family fun, art and culture! What are your favorite shoes for summer?
Your LA flatties are cute especially with the tantalising glimpse of gingham! I won't be wearing these 1970s platforms today - it's raining so it's back to boots yet again! xxx
I went to a Chihuly exhibition in Dunedin about 10 years ago and it was amazing. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to pack and transport that fragile glass. I recently blogged about my f-off boots which make me feel like Wonder Woman. Thank you for putting me on your blogroll- I am getting lots of traffic!
Linking up shoes is genius! I've been looking forward to the link-up. Your flats are perfect for a walking around day. Mary Janes are timeless. Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com
Our local museum, the Frist Center, hosted a Chihuly exhibition last year that was just breathtaking! I'm loving all these warmer weather shoes - I want them all ;-)
What a fun shoe party! I love a good shoe. My doctor has a calendar of women's shoes from every era, in every possible style and color in her exam room. I love paging through the months looking at all the different kicks. Thanks for hosting! xoxo, A
My favourite shoes in summer depend on what I have to do. I love my glamourous yellow high heeled sandals. But if I have to walk a lot, then I don't like them so much. If I have to walk a lot, then my Tommy Hilfiger ballerinas are sooo comfortable (with support soles in them). Thanks for hosting Shoe Shine. I feel terrible having to show boring pumps but it is not yet summer in Holland.
Thanks for hosting Shoe Shine Bella. I love the focus being on footwear. It really can make or break the outfit.
I've been down to the glass museum south of Seattle once. It was mesmerizing, and I'm anxious to go again. I'd like to take my Mom because she loves Dale Chihuly too. And while watching Top Chef Seattle, they filmed a segment in the Chihuly gardens. Is that at the Space Needle? Will have to follow your link and check it out. It's a must do for me!
I want your shoes!!!!! Those are super sweet and would go with everything I own! :) I just finally polished my toes, I think some sandals are in order!
Sweet! I had a pair of deep red patent Mary Jane's that I coveted and wore in Kindergarten - and I bought a similar pair, except with stacked heels, just a few years ago as they evoked those much-beloved shoes. I love how even our childhood fashion choices stay with us (if they were indeed choices - I had a triple-A heel and was hell to fit, so these could have been the only option). :) Lovely to see all the shoes! xo
Well, that was timely! I just squeaked in on Visible Monday, and I just happened to have a shot of my sandals so I put them on here, too!
ReplyDeleteI want to see the Chihuly exhibit next time I get up there. I think my husband would like it, so I'll bring him and take him up the Space Needle, too!

When we were there we skipped that museum. Looking back now we should have skipped the Space Needle and done the museum instead...ah well.
ReplyDeleteI bought these sandals a while back but I just love them. Metallics are so easy to wear and go with everything.
Bella, it appears as though the entire gallery and hot glass studio has been moved north to the Space Needle area, I'm I right? closer for me!
