Ok, I'm impressed. Have you heard of Grasswalkers? It's a plastic thingy you put on the bottom of your heels to prevent you from sinking down in the grass whenever you're traipsing all across a lawn. Like when you're at an outdoor wedding. I say this, because it's June and I'm imaging a few of those wedding invites are scheduled for soon.
I got a pair recently- you know what? This novelty item is a pretty good idea. The packaging is thin, and easy to keep in your purse until needed. You stick 'em on the bottom on those shoes and you won't have to deal with the sinking feeling you get when your $200 stilettos sink up to their necks in a muddy lawn. Grasswalkers transparent strips adhere to the bottom, without causing any damage, creating a sturdy, yet practically invisible guard that will keep your heels from sinking into the grass. They've got a nice website that explains in full detail just what Grasswalkers do, and how invaluable their $8.99 item is to you and your fancy wedding appropriate shoes.
Disclosure: I was given a sample of Grasswalks, in order to write this review. No other compensation was given. The opinion is entirely my own.
Hi Bella, I'm the first one? Yeah!!
ReplyDeleteI never heard of grasswalkers before.
Again thanks for introducing me to new items, concepts and cool ideas.
Besos,
Sounds like a marvellous idea! I hate it when heels sinks to the grass..!
ReplyDeleteThere is a definite need for this. I first experienced the problem when I was photographing my prom post. The lawn was soft and my heels went straight down. Not only was it hard to walk but my shoes got instantly dirty. I wondered how women managed soft ground in heels.
ReplyDeleteI so could have used these...instead my heels were covered in black mud.

Never heard of these. What a cool idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I never heard of it.
ReplyDeleteHow smart! My heels are always sinking into the grass so I would love to have a pair.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of those before but it's a brilliant idea. I hate having to toddle behind everyone else as I pick my way slowly and carefully through grass!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing and for your review.
ReplyDeleteThis is freaky - I was downtown with a friend today and said how I wished there were flat things we could attach to the bottoms of our shoes with tiny heels so they don't get pinched and scraped in the sidewalk cracks, so these would work for sidewalks as well as grass. Great product - having said that, don't know if I'd buy it...?!
ReplyDeletei recently ruined a pair of velvet pumps at an outdoors wedding. I needed those!!
ReplyDeleteThe things they invent... Cool. Not a lot of outdoor weddings in my life though, so I don't think I need them. But I like the idea very much.
ReplyDeletePerfect timing! The summer lawn in heels is such an obstacle course. Thanks for sharing something that will help. Best wishes--susan
ReplyDeleteA great product idea, but I personally always make sure to wear flats to events where I know there will be grass.
